AVAÍ F.C.'s Mateus Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Rayman in the 6th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Carlinhos Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the AVAÍ F.C. defense, Benedicto Chale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Catarinense. The AVAÍ F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Catarinense should have stopped the shot. In the 16th match minute, Club Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Gines to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateus Alves in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Pacorro saved Club Almirante Brown from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Tomás Etxepare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Braga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVAÍ F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Almirante Brown the free kick. 23 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Truylos came free, but Marcos Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Gines in the 54th minute of play. Tomás Etxepare kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Benedicto Chale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Marcos Catarinense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Club Almirante Brown getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Aristides Rayman hit a great ball. Club Almirante Brown made a substitution. Tomás Pasqual replaced Aristides Rayman. In the 77thth minute of the game Felix Gines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
