Claudio Bermudez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Claudemiro Fragoso sped through Hurricanes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Bermudez. 9 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Fantini came free, but Claudio Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Hurricanes FC defense, Claudemiro Fragoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Bermudez. The Hurricanes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Bermudez should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Claudemiro Fragoso notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Hurricanes FC's Claudio Bermudez. Claudio Bermudez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Agustin Laisné fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hurricanes FC's protests and gave Agustin Laisné a yellow card for diving instead. Agustin Laisné kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Deivid Fantini succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. 22 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Fragoso came free, but Claudio Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudemiro Fragoso in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Bermudez saved Hurricanes FC from getting behind. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Hurricanes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florence Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Fragoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Sport Club Mavericks's Claudemiro Fragoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Bermudez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudio Bermudez came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club Mavericks's Claudemiro Fragoso. But to his dismay, Claudemiro Fragoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9.

Deivid Fantini took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Bermudez. Claudio Bermudez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Elwood Keys with Florence Marin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 60 minutes, Claudemiro Fragoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Mavericks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudemiro Fragoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sport Club Mavericks's Hélio Nascimento was substituted for Claudemiro Fragoso. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Elder Arantes replaced Deivid Fantini. Elliot Rader's late challenge caught a Sport Club Mavericks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elliot Rader helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hurricanes FC's Elliot Rader got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Claudio Bermudez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélio Nascimento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 72 minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Hélio Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Bermudez. Hurricanes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélio Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15. Elwood Keys made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Josiah Ayala. 82 minutes into the match, Hélio Nascimento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudio Bermudez, 0-16. Hélio Nascimento took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Bermudez. Claudio Bermudez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-17. Sport Club Mavericks's attentive Conrado Sanches managed to snatch the ball when Elwood Keys made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. When Hélio Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 90th minute, Hélio Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Nascimento in the 92nd minute of the match. Claudio Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Nascimento in the 93rd minute of play. Claudio Bermudez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélio Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Hélio Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sport Club Mavericks's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
