Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Clive Couzens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ture Flintberg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Dirch Feigh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Osmond having to interfere. A collision led to Dorking United FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carlton Gilroy hit a great ball. Dorking United FC's Shane Osmond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Dorking United FC from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
