After having played for 5 minutes, King Scorpio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A4p FC Gad's supporters crossed their fingers, but King Scorpio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. King Scorpio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marian Văduvescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute James Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Steaua Pildesti defense, James Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Văduvescu. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Văduvescu should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Silvestre Pumarejo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glenn Fyfe was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Zygmunt Dunajski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Glenn Fyfe came out and tried to block the shot, but Zygmunt Dunajski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, King Scorpio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Văduvescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 34th minute, Anfilogino Manzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolae Barbu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Glenn Fyfe made a huge save. 41 minutes into the match, Zygmunt Dunajski notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe. Glenn Fyfe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the game, King Scorpio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Marian Văduvescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute, Cătălin Răduleț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Scorpio in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Stere came free, but Glenn Fyfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as King Scorpio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marian Văduvescu. That made the score 2-4 in the 57 minute of play. King Scorpio scored 2-5 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Văduvescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Gică Busuioc replaced James Batistuta. A4p FC Gad's Erasmo Damião was substituted for Amador Martxel. A4p FC Gad's Flavius Cândroveanu was substituted for Daniel Löfgren. Zygmunt Dunajski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Gică Busuioc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as King Scorpio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marian Văduvescu. That made the score 2-6 in the 73 minute of play. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Denis Marinescu hit a great ball. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Scorpio in the 78th minute of play. When King Scorpio came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the A4p FC Gad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that King Scorpio couldn't finish the play. Glenn Fyfe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucian Stere went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-6 was the resulting score. FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Steaua Pildesti from getting a goal against them. King Scorpio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Văduvescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match A4p FC Gad got a corner. FC Steaua Pildesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcin Pachucki ran over to the corner to take the kick. King Scorpio took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Văduvescu. Marian Văduvescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-7. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. A4p FC Gad walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
