Galo do Japi's Dagoberto Tande quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Murdock Sinden, made in the 8th minute of the game. If Chico Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chico Valadares took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilson Arósio. Gilson Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gilson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Valadares in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Pombal 2003 F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rafael Meirelles hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Rafael Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galo do Japi the free kick. Rafael Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Murdock Sinden hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Valadares in the 34th minute of play. Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Chico Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Di Yuan Liang made a kick off. Di Yuan Liang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Giovanelli having to interfere. Gilson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Valadares in the 53rd minute of the match. Murdock Sinden was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 60th minute, Murdock Sinden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilson Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Galo do Japi's Chico Valadares in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 71st minute Aldair Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pombal 2003 F.C. booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kauã Lago struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ronaldo Giovanelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pombal 2003 F.C.. In the 77th minute Wilfredo Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Valadares in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Cefero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilson Arósio was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Kauã Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Giovanelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes in the game Di Yuan Liang did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Kauã Lago. In the 89th minute, Chico Valadares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galo do Japi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Gilson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Valadares in the 94th minute of the match. Galo do Japi were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pombal 2003 F.C. for a fine match.
