The referee ignored Agua Santa's protests and gave Rafael Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Rafael Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute Rodrigo de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 9th minute of the match Rafael Cruz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rafael Cruz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 9th minute, Rafael Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Milan da Freguesia F.C. booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomé Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo de Castro in the 11th minute of the match. The throw-in from Tiago Cosme in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Anselmo Maraschin. After 15 minutes of play, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Zé Roberto Trevisan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomé Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodrigo de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frédson Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Frank Rosa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s João Vítor Arósio. João Vítor Arósio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Roberto Trevisan took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomé Mota. Tomé Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tomé Mota came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Zé Roberto Trevisan. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 35thth minute of the game Rodrigo de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agua Santa's Tomé Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo de Castro came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Milan da Freguesia F.C. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo de Castro was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute Zé Roberto Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Roberto Trevisan spun around in front of the goal 51 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Agua Santa's goal. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Zé Roberto Trevisan took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Tomé Mota to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Trevisan in the 57th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 60 minutes on the clock, Giuseppe Queirós commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Agua Santa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milan da Freguesia F.C.:s goal. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Rodrigo de Castro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tomé Mota. Zé Roberto Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Milan da Freguesia F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Zé Roberto Trevisan hit a great ball. Tomé Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo de Castro in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo de Castro got free with Tomé Mota in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, João Pedro Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Pedro Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Arósio having to interfere. Chicão Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chicão Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chicão Meirelles hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo de Castro came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo de Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Tomé Mota made a huge save. If Zé Roberto Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Chicão Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Mota was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Zé Roberto Trevisan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Roberto Trevisan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodrigo de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo de Castro couldn't finish the play. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
