Toninho de Moraes scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Lips, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anthimos Tsoulkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Lips having to interfere. When Oséas Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milanis E.C.'s protests and gave Oséas Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toninho de Moraes got free with Andreas Lips in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andreas Lips showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthimos Tsoulkas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Anthimos Tsoulkas scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Lips, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Milanis E.C. defense, Zé Roberto Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doni Prado. The Milanis E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doni Prado should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo's zone, Anthimos Tsoulkas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Lips came out of the goal and Anthimos Tsoulkas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andreas Lips made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthimos Tsoulkas in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Diogo Vale got a free kick in the 35th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anthimos Tsoulkas was the one to do the kick off. Andreas Lips took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Lips stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruninho Brito's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthimos Tsoulkas in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Lips saved Montevideo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho de Moraes in the 58th minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Andreas Lips to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Lips took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doni Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Mello in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78thth minute of the game Anthimos Tsoulkas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo's Andreas Lips was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Bruninho Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Lips saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthimos Tsoulkas struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Andreas Lips didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milanis E.C.. In the 84th minute Bruninho Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Lips saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Mello in the 88th minute of play forced Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper Doni Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montevideo's Andreas Lips played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho de Moraes in the 94th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
