Marcus Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Brickeen Wall made a huge save. Laerte Bittencourt made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Braga Junior FC's Adriano Toscano. 13 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Mutu came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Braga Junior FC were awarded a corner. Tomasz Waldoch went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tomasz Waldoch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha did a great save. Dalmo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enginalp Kayaalp in the 18th minute of play. Adrian Mutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brickeen Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Lenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Adrian Mutu might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Mutu ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Mutu came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brickeen Wall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Paes in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Jerome Rohrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brickeen Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Laerte Bittencourt with Silas Gerber as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Justo Berart kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Rohrer in the 41st minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Brickeen Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brickeen Wall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerome Rohrer's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

After having played for 54 minutes, Enginalp Kayaalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enginalp Kayaalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justo Berart charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Berart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Elano Loureiro replaced Silas Gerber. A collision led to Braga Junior FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Justo Berart hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Braga Junior FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dariusz Zembrzuski to maneuver through the defense. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Dominik Szoboszlai replaced Valdir Miranda. Jovens Democratas MZC's Chico de Sousa was substituted for Marcus Paes. In the 64th minute of the match Jerome Rohrer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brickeen Wall showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 68 minutes in the game, Dinei Sergipano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dalmo Saldanha having to interfere. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Jovens Democratas MZC from getting a goal against them. Brickeen Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Mutu got free with Dalmo Saldanha in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Chico de Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jovens Democratas MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. During the 90th minute of the match Laerte Bittencourt completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Laerte Bittencourt a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. There was no doubt that Jovens Democratas MZC were the better team. Jovens Democratas MZC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
