An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Meireles in the 3rd minute of play forced Olympique Deleon's goalkeeper Rogério Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Westphal in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Olympique Deleon's Rogério Pinho got control of the ball when Eusebio Westphal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Manoel dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, one of Olympique Deleon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olympique Deleon. In the 17th minute Eusebio Westphal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olympique Deleon's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guaberto Rocio was slow to take the kick. During this time Nova Era's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Nova Era's Artur Tande got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes, Artur Tande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Era and the Olympique Deleon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute Cheikha Fellahi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Mello's late challenge caught a Olympique Deleon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Mello helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nova Era getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Reynaldo Mello hit a great ball. Cléberson Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Eusebio Westphal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Era's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Westphal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléberson Oliveira to make the kick off. The supporters of Olympique Deleon booed when Nova Era was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Eugênio Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chico Pinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléberson Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Nova Era's Raphael Ceresso got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Oliveira came free, but Chico Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Eugênio Meireles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Pinho. Olympique Deleon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugênio Meireles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugênio Meireles in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When José Romero fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Deleon's protests and gave José Romero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Olympique Deleon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Romero to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes Nova Era got a freekick which was hit by Artur Tande. Rogério Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Westphal in the 75th minute of play. Nova Era's Chico Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléberson Oliveira in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Nova Era's Eusebio Westphal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogério Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Eusebio Westphal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Eusebio Westphal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rogério Pinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rogério Pinho came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Era's Eugênio Meireles. But to his dismay, Eugênio Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nova Era had played much better football throughout.
