When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wágner Andrade made a kick off. Douglas Gerber might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardinho Sharkin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Gerber ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th match minute, Desportivo Coala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ke Bang Zhen to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Desportivo Coala's Paulinho Prestes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paulinho Prestes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Desportivo Coala protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulinho Prestes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Desportivo Coala! In the 64th minute Piearres Holgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Sharkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
