After a rather tough play, Bloodthirsty FC's Henrik Brander got a free kick in the 4th minute. Bloodthirsty FC's Sven-Olof Gudmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Jalkanen in the 12th minute of play. Teuvo Latvanen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tero Hiltunen in the 16th minute of the match. Teuvo Latvanen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Jalkanen in the 19th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tero Hiltunen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Tero Hiltunen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. That made the score 3-0 in the 37 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Bloodthirsty FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teuvo Latvanen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gudmundsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viljami Virtala. Tero Hiltunen took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Brander to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Jimi Lindström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Tero Hiltunen took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Johan Flink charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johan Flink the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Peter Pihlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Jimi Lindström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teuvo Latvanen in the 75th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Jimi Lindström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Bloodthirsty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tero Hiltunen came free, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tero Hiltunen in the 84th minute of play. Bloodthirsty FC's Sten Hernström was substituted for Gösta Pihlblad. When Liverpool FC's Teuvo Latvanen in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bloodthirsty FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 93 minutes of play, Liverpool FC's Tero Hiltunen made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Liverpool FC had played much better football throughout.
