Patryk Dulka started the match with the kick off. Holger Vester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Șerban Chihaia's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Maj Maj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 7th minute of the match. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Marut in the 9th minute of play. Maj Maj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Söderberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes KS HANZA Goleniów got a freekick which was hit by Zachariasz Mios. Patryk Dulka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Vester having to interfere. Patryk Dulka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Holger Vester made a huge save. In the 28th minute Patryk Dulka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Patryk Dulka took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Holger Vester to make any attempt to save it. Hammarby IF's Holger Vester proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Hammarby IF from getting a goal against them. Gösta Söderberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Maj Maj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Gösta Söderberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Maj Maj was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, Blanco Mera threw the ball into play from the sideline. KS HANZA Goleniów's Feliks Turak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 47 minutes, Francesco Totti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarby IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Totti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Celedonio Dominguez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Maj Maj made a huge save. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when KS HANZA Goleniów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Dulka didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Maj Maj managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Hammarby IF's Celedonio Dominguez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maj Maj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo-Erik Wallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute Patryk Dulka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maj Maj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 74th minute of play. KS HANZA Goleniów made a substitution. Ryan Giggs replaced Morgan Lundqvist. 78 minutes into the match, KS HANZA Goleniów's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Söderberg came free, but Maj Maj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maj Maj made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Gösta Söderberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Șerban Chihaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hammarby IF's Controller Serapio pulled a muscle in his back after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Miromir Podowski's late challenge caught a Hammarby IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miromir Podowski helped the player get up and apologised. Hammarby IF made a substitution. Anders Lindblom replaced Controller Serapio. If Francesco Totti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Chihaia in the 89th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maj Maj made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gösta Söderberg sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to KS HANZA Goleniów getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Feliks Turak hit a great ball. KS HANZA Goleniów's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
