The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mariano Peyo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Zachary Pliszka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leopoldo Lastur having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Pliszka in the 8th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Arnaldo Leguizamón in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brujas KV's Oscar Costermans. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorvald Egfjord in the 11th minute of play. Leopoldo Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Pliszka in the 18th minute of play. Thorvald Egfjord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brujas KV's Pablo Roso quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicolas Bizi, made in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Bizi in the 24th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Adolfo Grau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Marco Chuse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorvald Egfjord in the 35th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javier Richie during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Javier Richie hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Thorvald Egfjord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Leopoldo Lastur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Zachary Pliszka put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Asier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Bizi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Grau having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Zachary Pliszka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Lastur was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After 67 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Bizi. Brujas KV made a substitution. Fulgencio Nikola replaced Zachary Pliszka. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Nicolas Bizi got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Fulgencio Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Lastur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Nikola in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match, Fulgencio Nikola tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Lastur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Brujas KV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harry Styles in the 75th minute. A nice corner shot did that Thorvald Egfjord got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leopoldo Lastur quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fulgencio Nikola in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leopoldo Lastur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fulgencio Nikola's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Leopoldo Lastur skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fulgencio Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Lastur having to interfere. If Fulgencio Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Nikola in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thorvald Egfjord came free, but Leopoldo Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Nikola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leopoldo Lastur having to make a save. With a little luck, Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur got control of the ball when Fulgencio Nikola tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Leones FC's corner Jeremias Cisco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adolfo Grau quite easily take care of the ball. After 95 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Richie. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Thorvald Egfjord took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Leopoldo Lastur to make any attempt to save it. Brujas KV played a much better game than Leones FC and deserved their victory. The Leones FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
