The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Jeremias Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Salles's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Jeremias Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronaldo Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Salles in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Cristiano Levandovskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Matorin in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Levandovskiy came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match, Laerte Lucas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nilson de Almeida was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Lindner F.C's goalkeeper Nilson de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laerte Lucas. Laerte Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Nilson de Almeida made a huge save. Laerte Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson de Almeida having to interfere. Montevideo were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Lindner F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilson Fernandez took the corner. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Lindner in the 36th minute of play. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dónald Trump in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Dónald Trump had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldo Medeiros. Montevideo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dónald Trump was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Lindner F.C's Nilson de Almeida got control of the ball when Laerte Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Laerte Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laerte Lucas to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Laerte Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson de Almeida was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Salles in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Jeremias Salles took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Ronaldo Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. Nilson de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olavo Matorin went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dónald Trump in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Dónald Trump came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Lindner F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Laerte Lucas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jeremias Salles sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Charlie Alfonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Lindner F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lindner F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
