Toronto United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canalla de Chicago the free kick. A collision led to Toronto United getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Brandon Short hit a great ball. After some careless play in the El Canalla de Chicago defense, Rolf Leslie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonah Peck. Emmanuel Akers was slow to take the kick. During this time El Canalla de Chicago's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Toronto United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Carey didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Nance showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Stout in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Lindsey in the 92nd minute of play forced Toronto United's goalkeeper William Nance to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Nance showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Stout, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. William Nance showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Uribe in the 95th minute of the match. James Uribe scored 3-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of William Nance, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
