When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugó Révész made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Samaniego Tobalina got a free kick in the 88th minute. Panos Nioras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugó Révész in the 89th minute of play. Panos Nioras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugó Révész in the 91st minute of the match. Denis Udrişte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Taffarel having to interfere. Keszi Athletic's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
