When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Lauro Müllerwiebus took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Donald Kennedy to make any attempt to save it. Donald Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Krapp in the 6th minute of the match. When Abilene FC's Sebastian Pennington in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caperücitënn's goalie prevented a goal. 11 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Abilene FC's Jack Costello fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 13 minutes into the game, Dirk Prott recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donald Kennedy. Dirk Prott showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Abilene FC's Sebastian Pennington got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Yeats in the 19th minute of play forced Caperücitënn's goalkeeper Erk Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Costa Dülfer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caperücitënn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abilene FC the free kick. A collision led to Caperücitënn getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Costa Dülfer hit a great ball. In the 25th match minute, Caperücitënn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Müllerwiebus to maneuver through the defense. If Sebastian Pennington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes, Malte Vuranoglu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caperücitënn and the Abilene FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Abilene FC booed when Caperücitënn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Vuranoglu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Abilene FC's Sebastian Pennington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erk Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 40 played minutes Abilene FC got a freekick which was hit by Homer Benjamin.

The wind increased when Sebastian Pennington made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Caperücitënn got a freekick which was hit by Malte Vuranoglu. With a little luck, Caperücitënn's Erk Berger got control of the ball when Jack Costello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abilene FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Caperücitënn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastian Pennington took the corner. After taking down the ball on Abilene FC's corner Sebastian Pennington fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erk Berger quite easily take care of the ball. If Sebastian Pennington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Caperücitënn's Erk Berger got control of the ball when Jimmy Yeats tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erk Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Cabourne in the 66th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, Abilene FC's Jimmy Yeats made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erk Berger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jack Costello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Erk Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Pennington in the 81st minute of play forced Caperücitënn's goalkeeper Erk Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Pennington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erk Berger having to make a save. If Dirk Prott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abilene FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
