In the 20th minute of the match Defensores de Mar de Ajó got a corner. Arquímedes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesar Romildo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Defensores de Mar de Ajó's corner Sebastião Paes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeremias Cordario quite easily take care of the ball. Jeremias Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Aznar in the 28th minute of play. Fernando Nabar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Kleopas Plouffe made a huge save. In the 34th minute Domingo Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleopas Plouffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Angel Jaume 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gogo Elequemedo got free with Jeremias Cordario in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 70 minutes of play, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Alberto Aznar made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremias Cordario was left in no man's land by his defense there!
