Gerard Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 苏银鹏 having to interfere. With an all-out effort, 上海杨浦海鹰联队's Donall Dempsey threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 柯挺响, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chants of Drumkeerin echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as 上海杨浦海鹰联队 had held the ball for most of the match.
