Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cebo Cienfuegos made the kick off which started today's match. In the 10th match minute, Drumkeerin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eamonn Cassin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mullidar booed when Drumkeerin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Finbar McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Gerard Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drumkeerin's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Colwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cordareo Vacas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerard Colwell hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gerard Colwell might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cordareo Vacas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerard Colwell ran back to his position shaking his head. Cordareo Vacas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Colwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Nicasio Blazquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Comhghall Brennan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cordareo Vacas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Drumkeerin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Jameson to maneuver through the defense. Teobaldo Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donall Dempsey having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Gil got free with Donall Dempsey in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomero March got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ismael Gabas. In the 47th minute, Sherlock McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Teobaldo Gil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donall Dempsey. That made the score 1-0 in the 49 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Colwell was the one to do the kick off. Cebo Cienfuegos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Donall Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Cebo Cienfuegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donall Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cebo Cienfuegos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Teobaldo Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cordareo Vacas made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Finbar McStephen sent off a good shot on target. Ismael Gabas charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Gabas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ismael Gabas hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Mullidar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
