Humberto Rossi started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Gilen Martioda got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Cisco Rubial made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense in the 9th minute of play. Edwin Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Flavinho Reis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Vall. 18 minutes into the match, Matthew Vall notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis. Flavinho Reis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Humberto Rossi hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, AFC United's Edwin Ortiz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavinho Reis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC United reached it. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, AFC United's Hondo Beneit got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Flavinho Reis. Matthew Vall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Flavinho Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Rossi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Cisco Rubial didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CE LAJEADENSE RS. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Mangueira during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. AFC United's Cisco Rubial played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Rossi in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Martino Trabado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC United and the CE LAJEADENSE RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martino Trabado kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gilen Martioda made the kick off in the second half. With 53 minutes on the clock, Júnior Arruda commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Júnior Arruda hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Martino Trabado came free, but Flavinho Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthew Vall in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavinho Reis saved CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting behind. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AFC United's goalie and right to Glauco Paranaense. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AFC United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilen Martioda in the 71st minute of play. Martino Trabado got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to AFC United getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Martino Trabado hit a great ball. Glauco Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Vall didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Moura in the 81st minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Cisco Rubial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Gilen Martioda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavinho Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Carlos Netto hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Hondo Beneit was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gilvan Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cisco Rubial having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AFC United had played much better football throughout.
