Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Överås IK the free kick. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Mikolaj Jerzyk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 12th match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Erland to maneuver through the defense. If Karsten Karlsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Thomas Vollmar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eero Viks was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Thomas Vollmar put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eero Viks. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 22nd minute of play forced Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eero Viks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 30th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Överås IK got a freekick which was hit by Ian Askberg. 41 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Vollmar came free, but Eero Viks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karsten Karlsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. If Pankracy Malicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Newcastle United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Överås IK's Wictor Hansson got a free kick in the 59th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Bergsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Julian Obuchowicz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Marcus Bergsten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikolaj Jerzyk was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Hitz Toxeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. Thomas Vollmar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Eero Viks 73 minutes into the match. Thomas Vollmar kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Kajetan Kochniarczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eero Viks having to interfere. Thomas Vollmars short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Eero Viks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thomas Vollmar had several of the Överås IK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Eero Viks as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Överås IK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Kasper Hafström hit a great ball. Thomas Vollmar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Eero Viks skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pankracy Malicki in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eero Viks, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eero Viks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Pacholewski in the 91st minute. Eero Viks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Vollmar went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Eero Viks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 97th minute of play. The Newcastle United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
