FC Alytus United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Saúl Gentiletti 3 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 6 minutes into the game, Avram Lupoaia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Žalia Giria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Alytus United the free kick. In the 6th match minute, FC Žalia Giria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avram Lupoaia to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Hikmet Lebib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Carrizo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarūnas Kuliešius's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Chamberlain in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, FC Alytus United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deividas Aukštakis to maneuver through the defense. FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daavid Šembera in the 19th minute of the match. Adolfo Carrizo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarūnas Kuliešius's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Jarūnas Kuliešius scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adolfo Carrizo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the FC Žalia Giria defense, Daavid Šembera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Carrizo. The FC Žalia Giria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Carrizo should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Chamberlain in the 32nd minute of the match. Saúl Gentiletti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Edvīns van der Sar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adolfo Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Erikas Kiškunas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Alytus United's Kris Chamberlain got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jarūnas Kuliešius was the one to do the kick off. Jarūnas Kuliešius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Adolfo Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Michael Bremming could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Adolfo Carrizo made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Adolfo Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daavid Šembera. In the 60thth minute of the game Jarūnas Kuliešius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Vaidas Maciulevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvīns van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Carrizo made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Daavid Šembera sent off a good shot on target. Adolfo Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Chamberlain in the 66th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Žalia Giria defense, Kris Chamberlain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Carrizo. The FC Žalia Giria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Carrizo should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute Daavid Šembera suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hikmet Lebib during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Žalia Giria getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hikmet Lebib hit a great ball. Jarūnas Kuliešius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adolfo Carrizo. FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tauras Wijnaldum in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adolfo Carrizo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Adolfo Carrizo came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Alytus United's Romualdas Motiekaitis. But to his dismay, Romualdas Motiekaitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Chamberlain in the 92nd minute of the match. Vaidas Maciulevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvīns van der Sar having to interfere.
