Inocente Luna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Cross had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inocente Luna. In the 13th match minute, Talcampeón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Francisco Maffey to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Manuel Barbosa got free with Jacinto Cross in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto Cross acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fabricio Peragallo. After 25 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Mella. Jacinto Cross came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Altermundi FC's Inocente Luna. But to his dismay, Inocente Luna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 31st minute José Francisco Maffey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Duguid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Manuel Barbosa came free, but Jacinto Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Fevre in the 43rd minute of play forced Altermundi FC's goalkeeper Rollo Duguid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Manuel Barbosa in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Altermundi FC's Jose Manuel Barbosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacinto Cross. Jacinto Cross yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nestor Barria made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Jose Manuel Barbosa put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacinto Cross. 60 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Manuel Barbosa came free, but Jacinto Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Manuel Barbosa in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, José Francisco Maffey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Talcampeón FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altermundi FC the free kick. The supporters of Altermundi FC booed when Talcampeón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Francisco Maffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Manuel Barbosa in the 65th minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Cross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Manuel Barbosa came free, but Jacinto Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disvandis Fabres kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The Altermundi FC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Altermundi FC's Inocente Luna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Jose Manuel Barbosa sped through Talcampeón FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacinto Cross. After 85 minutes of play, Altermundi FC's Inocente Luna made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacinto Cross was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Talcampeón FC defense, Jose Manuel Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Cross. The Talcampeón FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Cross should have stopped the shot. José Francisco Maffey hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Jacinto Cross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Manuel Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Altermundi FC's Jose Manuel Barbosa in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talcampeón FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Altermundi FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Talcampeón FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
