Ovidio Raymundo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Raymundo in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Ferraz saved Jumeuc Futebol Clube from getting behind. Osmar Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Saldanha in the 48th minute of the match. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by XV de Indaial's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Melo was slow to take the kick. During this time Jumeuc Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Tadeu Prestes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Ovidio Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. XV de Indaial's Ovidio Raymundo got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. XV de Indaial's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
