Anacleto Balasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cresconio Menocal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cresconio Menocal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Martinez in the 11th minute of play. When Osvaldo Celio came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the THE PAPAGUACHAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Celio couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in THE PAPAGUACHAS's zone, Bento Busto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Iratze came out of the goal and Bento Busto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes THE PAPAGUACHAS got a freekick which was hit by Victor Benat. Artemio Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Alfonso Ugarte's Tebaldo Artolozaga in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Artemio Quintero kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tebaldo Artolozaga was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to THE PAPAGUACHAS getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Silvio Telesforo hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, THE PAPAGUACHAS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Artemio Quintero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cresconio Menocal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Martinez in the 60th minute of play. Elias Iratze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordarell Tarabejano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, THE PAPAGUACHAS's Victor Benat got a free kick in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Unzaga during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Horacio Unzaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Cirilo Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cresconio Menocal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Martinez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cresconio Menocal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Alfonso Ugarte's Cresconio Menocal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Martinez in the 83rd minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, THE PAPAGUACHAS's Cirilo Martinez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cresconio Menocal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alfonso Ugarte's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
