Ronaldo Pika ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ronaldo Pika got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baldomero Burutzagi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Pika in the 14th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Baldomero Burutzagi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Burutzagi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Bernard in the 15th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Antonio Bernard in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Alberto Oinatz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Lucio Afonso made a huge save. 18 minutes into the game, Alberto Oinatz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucio Afonso. Alberto Oinatz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When TALLERES DE CBA's Josué Braga in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stellenbosch's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Antonio Bernard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomero Burutzagi was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Baldomero Burutzagi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Braga in the 30th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Antonio Bernard made the kick off in the second half. Josué Braga struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Baldomero Burutzagi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TALLERES DE CBA. Ronaldo Pika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Burutzagi having to interfere. In the 57th minute Florentino Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Bernards short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Baldomero Burutzagi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucio Afonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Ofelio in the 63rd minute of play. Stellenbosch's Baldomero Burutzagi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Bernard in the 68th minute of play. Josué Braga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Baldomero Burutzagi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Baldomero Burutzagi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Bernard in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the Stellenbosch defense, Josué Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomero Burutzagi. The Stellenbosch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Burutzagi should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Bernard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baldomero Burutzagi. That made the score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. TALLERES DE CBA's Erasmo Oxarra was substituted for Antonio Bernard. Erasmo Oxarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Baldomero Burutzagi made a huge save. With his leg Baldomero Burutzagi managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when TALLERES DE CBA's Josué Braga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Baldomero Burutzagi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Oxarra in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over TALLERES DE CBA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stellenbosch throughout the match.
