Urko FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Larra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Filomeno Kauldi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliver Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Larra got free with Sebastián Torrico in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Urko FC booed when Elpobre toma sidraTUNUYAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iulian Ciuvică charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Sebastián Torrico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Urritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Celso Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Kauldi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Urko FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
