Felix Paveliuc's late challenge caught a C.A. LANUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Paveliuc helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.A. LANUS booed when Greenboys FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Paveliuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rdth minute of the game Adamantios Geronimidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Greenboys FC's Danilo Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Greenboys FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Pereyra came free, but Danilo Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adamantios Geronimidis in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adamantios Geronimidis's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. C.A. LANUS were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Greenboys FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atilano Tonio took the corner. After 17 played minutes Greenboys FC got a freekick which was hit by Róbert Kutas. In the 19th minute, C.A. LANUS's Everardo Gaizko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Danilo Vaz. Danilo Vaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Zsolt Füzesi charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zsolt Füzesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Greenboys FC got a freekick which was hit by Zsolt Füzesi. In the 24thth minute of the game Adamantios Geronimidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Greenboys FC's Danilo Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zsolt Füzesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A. LANUS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Atilano Tonio in the 29th minute. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Adamantios Geronimidis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Adamantios Geronimidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to C.A. LANUS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Remigio Bartoli hit a great ball. Róbert Kutas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Mergildo having to interfere. Adamantios Geronimidis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Danilo Vaz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Adamantios Geronimidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Danilo Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zsolt Füzesi was the one to do the kick off. Danilo Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angel Pereyra's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. C.A. LANUS were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Greenboys FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atilano Tonio took the corner. Atilano Tonio made a great header on C.A. LANUS's corner, it was just that Greenboys FC's Danilo Vaz managed to reach the ball for a save. Danilo Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamantios Geronimidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A. LANUS's Jorge Videla got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Adamantios Geronimidis sped through Greenboys FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Vaz. In the 77th minute, Péter Földes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adamantios Geronimidis struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Danilo Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. LANUS. Ekain Gasteiz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Greenboys FC's Danilo Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamantios Geronimidis in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Danilo Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Pereyra in the 92nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Adamantios Geronimidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Vaz was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 96th minute of the match C.A. LANUS got a corner. Greenboys FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atilano Tonio ran over to the corner to take the kick. C.A. LANUS's Atilano Tonio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Danilo Vaz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
