In the 16th minute William Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gui Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Călin Senin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráusio Garcia during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chinho FC booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Washington Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nico Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Senin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Călin Senin could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross.
