After 8 minutes of play, Poetass FC's Sandrinho Messias made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Pasquarelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 18 played minutes Gonzo Style f.c got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Tassotti. Enrico Tassotti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Amílton Paraíba made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Gonzo Style f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Sid Gol came free, but Flavio Pasquarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Diego Staniscia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Ernani Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when Gonzo Style f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Vieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Sid Gol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Pasquarelli. Gonzo Style f.c's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sid Gol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 38 played minutes Gonzo Style f.c got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Firmani. Flavio Pasquarelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernani Mendes's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Sid Gol sped through Gonzo Style f.c's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Pasquarelli. In the 47th match minute, Gonzo Style f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Staniscia to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

In the 55th minute, Poetass FC's Jorge Meira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorge Meira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Poetass FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorge Meira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Poetass FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gonzo Style f.c:s goal. Amílton Paraíba had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Augusto Vieri's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Moreira got free with Flavio Pasquarelli in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Flavio Pasquarelli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Yuri Djorkaeff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Sandrinho Messias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Flavio Pasquarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Firmani kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 98th minute, Ernani Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Poetass FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gonzo Style f.c.
