With a left leg Lázaro Mincho saved GRÊMIO from getting behind. In the 11th minute BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 were awarded a corner. Berk Eygül went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Lázaro Mincho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Bogdan Bambas lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Lázaro Mincho. Lázaro Mincho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğa Tokuztuğ in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, GRÊMIO's Dráuzio Alagoano got a free kick in the 17th minute. Bogdan Bambas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Mincho having to interfere. Lázaro Mincho was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Bogdan Bambas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bogdan Bambas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Lázaro Mincho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roger Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 史挺南 to make the kick off. In the 51st minute 史挺南 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayyar Poyraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 booed when GRÊMIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gürsel Durusoy replaced Bogdan Bambas. Lázaro Mincho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isa Günyol went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Gürsel Durusoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Mincho having to interfere. After some careless play in the GRÊMIO defense, Isa Günyol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lázaro Mincho. The GRÊMIO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lázaro Mincho should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Gürsel Durusoy put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lázaro Mincho. In the 89th minute, Roger Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lázaro Mincho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isa Günyol in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Gürsel Durusoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. There was no doubt that BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 were the better team. BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
