The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Alberto Soares was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka got control of the ball when Aykut Canel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Catugi FC's zone, Charlie Boström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reko Nybacka came out of the goal and Charlie Boström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Charlie Boström sent off a good shot on target. Renan Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 88th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renan Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
