In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregorio Jordy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Federico Fe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Reynaldo Inge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Modestio in the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Rafael Modestio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Inge was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Reynaldo Inge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Remir, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Trapiche getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Leonard Radziszewski hit a great ball. Federico Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Txindoki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trapiche's Federico Fe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Trapiche from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute of the match Racing Comunicaciones got a corner. Trapiche's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bartolo Tipi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Bartolo Tipi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trapiche's Federico Fe did a great save. After a rather tough play, Trapiche's Hugo Itzaina got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Feliciano Porfiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Inge was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Gregorio Jordy struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Federico Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Comunicaciones. In the 46th minute, Hugo Itzaina made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Inge. Racing Comunicaciones's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apolo Txindoki to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tadeo Abajas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reynaldo Inge. The goal made the score 0-5. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Fredo Herzog took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Reynaldo Inge to make any attempt to save it. Laureano Belasko's late challenge caught a Trapiche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
