In the 4th minute of the match, Lenílson Peres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sture Abrahamsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Febre Amarela were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Nytäppet Fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adil Vavasseur took the corner. After having played for 11 minutes, Lenílson Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Febre Amarela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lenílson Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Nytäppet Fc booed when Febre Amarela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adil Vavasseur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sture Abrahamsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenílson Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Sture Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Lindman made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dušan Vlahović. 21 minutes into the match, Febre Amarela's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Lombardo came free, but Luís Fernando Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Febre Amarela's Luís Fernando Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Samuelsson in the 23rd minute of play. Sture Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenílson Peres in the 24th minute of the match. When Febre Amarela's Lenílson Peres in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nytäppet Fc's goalie prevented a goal. In the 30th minute, Febre Amarela's Lenílson Peres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sture Abrahamsson. Sture Abrahamsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Peres in the 34th minute of play forced Nytäppet Fc's goalkeeper Sture Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sture Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson Peres in the 38th minute of play. Luís Fernando Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Hedbom's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute of the match Febre Amarela got a corner. Nytäppet Fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adil Vavasseur ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adil Vavasseur made a great header on Febre Amarela's corner, it was just that Nytäppet Fc's Sture Abrahamsson managed to reach the ball for a save. Sture Abrahamsson was a little too slow when Adil Vavasseur got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Lenílson Peres made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Nytäppet Fc got a freekick which was hit by Martin Lindman. The audience was convinced that Lenílson Peres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sture Abrahamsson was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Lenílson Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenílson Peres in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sture Abrahamsson saved Nytäppet Fc from getting behind. Sture Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nytäppet Fc's Sture Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Peres in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Febre Amarela were awarded a corner. Adil Vavasseur went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Nytäppet Fc's goalie and right to Célio da Cunha. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Nytäppet Fc's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Febre Amarela fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Febre Amarela's Lenílson Peres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 96th minute of the match Reynaldo Salgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sture Abrahamsson skillfully saved the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Umberto Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Febre Amarela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nytäppet Fc the free kick. After a rather tough play, Febre Amarela's Umberto Britto got a free kick in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nytäppet Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Febre Amarela.
