Erik Brenna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Beaune, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Rune Rundhaug blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierre Peeters having to make a save. Pierre Peeters made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Rune Rundhaug sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Aloísio Lendaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Rundhaug in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pierre Peeters, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rune Rundhaug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Pierre Peeters managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when mixednutz XI's Rune Rundhaug fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pierre Peeters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Rundhaug in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lyon 69ers's zone, Torgeir Lundhaug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Peeters came out of the goal and Torgeir Lundhaug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aloísio Lendaa to make the kick off. Rune Rundhaug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Rundhaug in the 51st minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Rundhaug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pierre Peeters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Rundhaug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lyon 69ers's Pierre Peeters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Rundhaug in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute mixednutz XI were awarded a corner. Rune Rundhaug went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led mixednutz XI's Ferdinand Tvete to fire away a dangerous shot which Pierre Peeters despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th match minute, mixednutz XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Rundhaug to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Francis Graffin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Brenna skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the mixednutz XI defense, Tom Beaune kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Brenna. The mixednutz XI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Brenna should have stopped the shot. Pierre Peeters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Rundhaug in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Torgeir Lundhaug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. mixednutz XI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torgeir Lundhaug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Lyon 69ers getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Romaric Orsoni hit a great ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Rune Rundhaug who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyon 69ers's Pierre Peeters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgeir Lundhaug in the 87th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Rundhaug might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierre Peeters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Rundhaug ran back to his position shaking his head. Pierre Peeters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Rundhaug in the 94th minute of play. The Lyon 69ers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
