In the 13th minute Belo Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilhelm Nienhaus got free with Maurino Serena in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zé Paulo da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erlantz Bermejo in the 17th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Belo Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
