In the 29th minute Maureen Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Buceo's Charly Good managed to work through Club Atlético Atlanta's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Charly Good dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Deunoro Hinojosa struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Pankracy Glogowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Maureen Franco sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The supporters of Sporting Buceo booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sporting Buceo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Atlético Atlanta for a fine match.
