Ruy Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josepe Gamiz in the 23rd minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match CD Municipal got a corner. ALIANZA 1901's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martino Armona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Martino Armona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruy Berger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CD Municipal were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after ALIANZA 1901's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Martino Armona took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Mosen Colillas got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Aureliano Buendia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruy Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martino Armona in the 44th minute of play. Martino Armona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

CD Municipal were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after ALIANZA 1901's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Martino Armona took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Aureliano Buendia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. CD Municipal's Tulio Andinyach was substituted for Evtim Kúrdzhev. The supporters of ALIANZA 1901 booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tulio Andinyach didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Berger. ALIANZA 1901's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Cassaretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. ALIANZA 1901's Mincho Mar was substituted for Luis Escobar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Cassaretto in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the ALIANZA 1901 defense, Enrique Cassaretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Berger. The ALIANZA 1901 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Berger should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Rivadeneira got free with George Forsyth in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CD Municipal's George Forsyth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save CD Municipal from getting a goal against them. After 82 minutes of play, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Berger was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind ALIANZA 1901's goalkeeper Ruy Berger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gunnar Ekrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Berger having to interfere. Tulio Andinyach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CD Municipal fully deserved thier win.
