Austin Trueman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Bob Garforth came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Taverham AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bob Garforth couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Jeerhof FSV booed when Taverham AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Hoult didn't get a good kick on the ball. Greg Reddington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiko Sill in the 11th minute of the match. Austin Trueman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reiner Jaksch having to interfere. Stephane Lösekrug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Austin Trueman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reiner Jaksch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeerhof FSV's Heiko Sill got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Jeerhof FSV's goalkeeper Reiner Jaksch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Austin Trueman. In the 46th minute Stephane Lösekrug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Reddington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Austin Trueman was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Jeerhof FSV's Stephane Lösekrug made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Greg Reddington was left in no man's land by his defense there! Greg Reddington made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Stephane Lösekrug sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Jeerhof FSV booed when Taverham AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Garforth didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, one of Taverham AF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taverham AF. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Jeerhof FSV's Raoul Erler got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Greg Reddington. When Austin Trueman came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Taverham AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austin Trueman couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 66 in the game by Stephane Lösekrug from a close distance when the talented Greg Reddington managed to make a qualified save. Taverham AF's players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Greg Reddington successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stephane Lösekrug got free with Greg Reddington in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Greg Reddington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiko Sill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Austin Trueman put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Reiner Jaksch. Reiner Jaksch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Trueman in the 81st minute of the match. When Taverham AF's Austin Trueman in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jeerhof FSV's goalie prevented a goal. Greg Reddington stood somewhat misplaced when Stephane Lösekrug came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 84 minute. Greg Reddington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephane Lösekrug in the 87th minute. After 94 played minutes Jeerhof FSV got a freekick which was hit by Stephane Lösekrug. Greg Reddington made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Stephane Lösekrug sent off a good shot on target.
