Despite this Ariel Balboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Talcampeón FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Orfilio Orbañanos scored to the left of an out of position Edgardo Rondanelli, making the score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orfilio Orbañanos in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Rondanelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orfilio Orbañanos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgardo Rondanelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. Orfilio Orbañanos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Rondanelli having to make a save. Orfilio Orbañanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Edgardo Rondanelli made a huge save. 29 minutes into the game, Orfilio Orbañanos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgardo Rondanelli. Orfilio Orbañanos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 32nd minute Lucas Mancheño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Rondanelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orfilio Orbañanos. In the 39th minute, one of Talcampeón FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Talcampeón FC. The goalkeeper, Edgardo Rondanelli, was totally fooled by U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 44 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Mikel Señoret came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikel Señoret in the 44th minute of play. Orfilio Orbañanos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Rondanelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Edgardo Rondanelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U. de Tarapacá's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
