Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oscar Linhares started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Trigo in the 3rd minute of play forced Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Jeferson Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Kroos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Carlos Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeferson Pernambucano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Válter Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Abelardo Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Hélder Trigo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Three Lions FC's Jeferson Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Márcio Medeiros hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Three Lions FC's Júnior Branco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Augusto Peixoto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Three Lions FC reached it. Jeferson Pernambucano was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Hélder Trigo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hélder Trigo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu de Moraes in the 36th minute of play. Júnior Branco hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Trigo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Vieira in the 51st minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Vieira in the 64th minute of play. Zé Augusto Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cafu de Moraes in the 66th minute. A collision led to Three Lions FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Igor Pitta hit a great ball. Jeferson Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Three Lions FC's Cafu de Moraes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Augusto Peixoto got control of the ball when Oscar Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Three Lions FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. George Kroos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Three Lions FC's zone, Anderson Valladares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Pernambucano came out of the goal and Anderson Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeferson Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's Anderson Valladares. But to his dismay, Anderson Valladares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vascogoianiense FC had won after a very even match.
