The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes got control of the ball when Faustino Gerazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sobhy Paredes came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by SALIMEN's Faustino Gerazan. But to his dismay, Faustino Gerazan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 9th minute of play forced E.C.Pelotas's goalkeeper Sobhy Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Murilo Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elói Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Pimenta in the 14th minute of play. Sobhy Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 16th minute. SALIMEN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saturnino Gartzea in the 17th minute. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Pimenta in the 19th minute of play. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save E.C.Pelotas from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Murilo Neto made a precise shot to the right of Elói Miranda. SALIMEN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Sobhy Paredes made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ulisses Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Leon came free, but Elói Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sobhy Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Gerazan in the 30th minute. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match, Cláudio Pimenta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sobhy Paredes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 43 minutes, Enéas Pereira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SALIMEN and the E.C.Pelotas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Enéas Pereira hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Sobhy Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Leon was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, SALIMEN's Faustino Gerazan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sobhy Paredes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. E.C.Pelotas's Wilhelm Rolfsson was substituted for Nando Vides. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Gerazan in the 60th minute of play. Sobhy Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Sabóia in the 64th minute of play. Elói Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murilo Neto in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Eger in the 86th minute of play forced E.C.Pelotas's goalkeeper Sobhy Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Murilo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, İldeniz Davutoğlu made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the SALIMEN players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
