The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elói Miranda made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Atacan Rahim sent off a good shot on target. Atacan Rahim might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elói Miranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atacan Rahim ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute Atacan Rahim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Elite™- FC Galácticos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saturnino Gartzea was slow to take the kick. During this time SALIMEN's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to SALIMEN getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nicolas Bittencourt hit a great ball. In the 13th match minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Seco to maneuver through the defense. Enéas Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Atacan Rahim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Elite™- FC Galácticos booed when SALIMEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meng Xi Di didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Elite™- FC Galácticos's Atacan Rahim in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SALIMEN's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 29th minute of play forced Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elói Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atacan Rahim's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Elói Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atacan Rahim in the 33rd minute of the match. Elói Miranda was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Atacan Rahim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Atacan Rahim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, SALIMEN's Meng Xi Di got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Elite™- FC Galácticos got a corner. SALIMEN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nikos Kladogennis ran over to the corner to take the kick. 41 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Seco lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Elói Miranda. Marcus de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Elói Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atacan Rahim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SALIMEN's Elói Miranda got control of the ball when Atacan Rahim tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Cláudio Pimenta scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerônimo da Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Atacan Rahim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elói Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Elite™- FC Galácticos's corner Nikos Kladogennis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Elói Miranda quite easily take care of the ball. Elite™- FC Galácticos made a substitution. Silvério Vale replaced Nikos Kladogennis. SALIMEN's Rony Eger was substituted for Saturnino Gartzea. Jerônimo da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Pimenta in the 74th minute of play. İldeniz Davutoğlu came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jerônimo da Cunha could save by the left post. In the 84th minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Walmyr Cosme seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Walmyr Cosme the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Elite™- FC Galácticos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Walmyr Cosme had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. SALIMEN's Ronaldão Novaes was substituted for Enéas Pereira. After a rather tough play, SALIMEN's Nicolas Bittencourt got a free kick in the 95th minute. Maël Zapata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
