An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 4th minute of play forced Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ruy Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Gernando Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Ludomil Ziomkowski. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gernando Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Cezary Bartoszek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Well-Well Junior in the 18 minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Well-Well Junior in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Stefan Stenquist. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Azevedo in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Ruy Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Geromel made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emanuele Bertoni immediately put the ball in play. 37 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ludomil Ziomkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Azevedo. Ruy Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso da Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Gustavo da Silva replaced Pedro Geromel. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Renato Augusto was substituted for Afonso da Cunha. Ruy Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo got a free kick in the 70th minute. The supporters of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ booed when Los Andes FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo da Silva in the 84th minute of play forced Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ruy Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando Azevedo took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludomil Ziomkowski. Ludomil Ziomkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Gustavo da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Ruy Montenegro made a huge save. Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
