In the 10th minute Abdulla Baia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamza Yavaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Hamza Yavaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Michel Hendrickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Descamps in the 28th minute of play forced Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaias Matas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Vereijt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Matas in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ouagadougou National's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Kotlar was slow to take the kick. During this time Olavarria FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mauro Kotlar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rene Vereijt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Michel Hendrickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamza Yavaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Isaias Matas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rene Vereijt to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th minute, Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 42nd minute Hamza Yavaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Ouagadougou National's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Isaias Matas scored to the left of an out of position Rene Vereijt, making the score, 3-0.

FC Ouagadougou National's Paolo Evis was substituted for Hamza Yavaş. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaias Matas made a kick off. In the 56th minute Abdulla Baia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Matas in the 65th minute of the match. Olavarria FC's Thys Lenoir quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sergen Şahbender, made in the 69th minute of the game. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Kotlar in the 75th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Olavarria FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Ouagadougou National:s goal. Michel Hendrickx had in the 82ndth minute some difficulties stopping Robert Justus's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Robert Justus took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel Hendrickx. Michel Hendrickx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnauld Tombuer in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Vereijt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute Arnauld Tombuer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arnauld Tombuer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Vereijt was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The supporters of Olavarria FC booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazmi Tanberk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Abdulla Baia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michel Hendrickx, 5-2. Olavarria FC's attentive Thys Lenoir managed to snatch the ball when Sergen Şahbender made a throw-in in the 98th minute of the game. After 99 minutes, Thys Lenoir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olavarria FC and the FC Ouagadougou National players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 99 played minutes Olavarria FC got a freekick which was hit by Thys Lenoir.
