Jorge Arce ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Geronimo Fernendo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 20 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hıdır Namal came free, but Steve Kerr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Okanalp Öksal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Barca, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Bruno Medero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve Kerr having to make a save. When Rene Aires came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Loco De Remate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Aires couldn't finish the play. Baškim Sumulikovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Kerr having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Barca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roberto Mouzo made in the 51st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Amado Nisio immediately put the ball in play. In the 53rd minute, Emanuel Mogel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
