RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hıdır Namal in the 9th minute of play. Loco De Remate's Okanalp Öksal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Târban in the 10th minute of play. Marcial Lordi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hıdır Namal, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Okanalp Öksal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Oxarra in the 14th minute of play. Marcial Lordi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hıdır Namal's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Aires in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Lordi saved RIVER from getting behind. Eric Târban received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Okanalp Öksal came out and tried to block the shot, but Eric Târban slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Marcelino Raposo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute of the match Loco De Remate got a corner. RIVER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Virila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Loco De Remate's Leandro Virila was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcial Lordi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Aires in the 29th minute of play. Rene Aires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Lordi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Rene Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcial Lordi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute Hıdır Namal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Aires was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niki Lauda during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 50th minute, Niki Lauda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hıdır Namal. In the 55th minute Niki Lauda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okanalp Öksal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Aires got free with Marcial Lordi in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Domingo Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Remigio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Okanalp Öksal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Aires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Lordi having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Aires came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcial Lordi made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Hıdır Namal sent off a good shot on target. Rene Aires took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Lordi. Marcial Lordi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Loco De Remate's Baškim Sumulikovski was substituted for Laurids Grejsen. If Rene Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcial Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Aires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amado Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RIVER's Rosendo Osorio was substituted for Bruno Oxarra. 84 minutes into the match, RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Christobal. Marcial Lordi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clodoveo Christobal went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Clodoveo Christobal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcial Lordi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The Loco De Remate supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Loco De Remate would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
