Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bonifacio Ado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ortzi Elizondo during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 5 minutes in the game, Juan José López fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alvaro Pabla having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvaro Pabla. Alvaro Pabla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Rio Cuarto fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 14th minute, Penuel Football Club's Faron Cenal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvaro Pabla. Alvaro Pabla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. If Juan José López had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan José López blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Pabla having to make a save. Fernando Cavenaghi took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Pabla. Alvaro Pabla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Juan José López kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Alvaro Pabla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Cavenaghi in the 28th minute of play. Fernando Cavenaghi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Pabla came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi. But to his dismay, Fernando Cavenaghi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After having played for 40 minutes, Esquipula Saco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penuel Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esquipula Saco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Cavenaghi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Penuel Football Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 42 minutes into the game, Elpidio Haritzeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Rio Cuarto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penuel Football Club the free kick. A collision led to Atlético Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Elpidio Haritzeder hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Amadeo Erasto got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

Juan José López sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Faron Cenal made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Pabla. Atlético Rio Cuarto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. In the 59th minute, Faron Cenal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penuel Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Cavenaghi in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Pabla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Fernando Cavenaghi sped through Atlético Rio Cuarto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvaro Pabla. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Faron Cenal got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Atlético Rio Cuarto defense, Juan José López kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Pabla. The Atlético Rio Cuarto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Pabla should have stopped the shot. Alvaro Pabla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faron Cenal went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. Penuel Football Club made a substitution. Leopoldo Cero replaced Ortzi Elizondo. Penuel Football Club's Niceto Ovalle was substituted for Faron Cenal. 76 minutes into the match, Niceto Ovalle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Pabla. Atlético Rio Cuarto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niceto Ovalle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Rio Cuarto's zone, Juan José López stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Pabla came out of the goal and Juan José López tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Cavenaghi in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Pabla saved Atlético Rio Cuarto from getting behind. If Juan José López had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Ovalle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Pabla having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Penuel Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
