In the 5th minute of the match, Ren Jie Fan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brickeen Wall saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stig Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute Ren Jie Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brickeen Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Brickeen Wall successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dieguinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, GeRaÇãO-83's Rômulo Veiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brickeen Wall. Brickeen Wall yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in GeRaÇãO-83 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Dieguinho Paraíba had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomasz Waldoch's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tomasz Waldoch did an outstanding performance 27 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Dieguinho Paraíba in the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Adrian Mutu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Mutu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Braga Junior FC's Dinei Sergipano made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dieguinho Paraíba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in GeRaÇãO-83's zone, Enginalp Kayaalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieguinho Paraíba came out of the goal and Enginalp Kayaalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brickeen Wall made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Stig Sandström sent off a good shot on target. Brickeen Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ren Jie Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Billy Backman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Ren Jie Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brickeen Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ren Jie Fan to strike the kick off in the second half. Brickeen Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ren Jie Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ren Jie Fan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brickeen Wall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Adrian Mutu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Dieguinho Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. GeRaÇãO-83's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Billy Backman in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute of the match GeRaÇãO-83 got a corner. Braga Junior FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Billy Backman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dieguinho Paraíba was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Adrian Mutu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrian Mutu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 89th minute Adrian Mutu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Håland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Enol's late challenge caught a Braga Junior FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Enol helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes GeRaÇãO-83 got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Enol. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Braga Junior FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
